Discover the remarkable world of working sled dogs with an authentic behind-the-scenes visit to our kennel in Yellowknife Northwest Territories.

During this intimate fall experience guests are welcomed into our kennel to meet some of our sled dogs in our free running area. Hear stories about the dogs daily lives, training and care, and discover the strong bond between mushers and their dogs.

This experience offers a genuine and educational look into the life of working sled dogs in Yellowknife and is perfect for animal lovers, families and anyone curious about mushing culture.

After meeting the dogs, gather around and enjoy a unique northern tradition - making your own bannock (Traditional bread) on a stick over the fire. Enjoy your bannock while relaxing by the fire, sharing stories and taking in the atmosphere of our kennel. Beverages included.

September 1st - November 20th

We welcome you to join an experience where you get to sit in our 5 person ATV side by side for a guided ride on our off - season training trails. Watch as the dogs work together, run the trails, and keep their strength and endurance up throughout the warmer months.

During your ride you will hear fascinating stories about the sled dogs lives, welfare, training and competitions.

After the ride there will be time for cuddles and photos with the team.

This is the perfect opportunity to experience the magic of Yellowknife and witness the true passion and energy of our sled dogs.

When: Daily from 1PM-2:30PM (including pick up & drop off)

Note: Off- season training rides depend heavily on daily weather conditions (such as heat) to protect dog safety. Verified with guests the day before the tour.

Cost: $85.00/ person

Join Tugah Northern Experiences for an intimate evening beneath the northern sky. Guests will travel in a comfortable vehicle with a maximum of four guests while we explore outside the Yellowknife area in search of clear skies and the Northern Lights.

Rather than staying in one location, we can move with the conditions and choose viewing locations that offer the best opportunity to experience the Aurora.

The Aurora has always fascinated me, and sharing that experience with guests is something I'm truly passionate about. There’s something special about watching the Northern Lights dance across the sky, and I love being able to share that feeling with people experiencing it for the first time.
